Me hitting repeat on this formerly ubiquitous Coke ad (if you went to a multiplex circa November-December of 2008 and/or 2009, you can sing along) = John Cassavetes going to see A Place in the Sun every day and muttering “I hate this movie” each time only to emerge from his dozenth viewing saying “I love this movie.”
Also I’m not saying this ad is the Rosetta Stone of existence itself but maybe I’m saying you can’t prove that it isn’t. I mean, the dopey singing dude in the ad went on to play a creepy kid in Richard Kelly’s The Box, so if that doesn’t mean something then I quit.
